The company Aeby & Landry was founded in 1873. After the death of the founder Aeby, the company was split into two different companies by his sons: Léo Aeby & Co in 1888 and Aeby, Bellenot & Co in 1889. Both claimed to be the legal successors of Aeby & Landry.
It is not clear, which of these three companies actually produced the movements shown here! The registration of the logo with a cock and the words TRADE MARK was transferred from Aeby & Landry to Aeby & Co in 1888 and then from Aeby & Co to Aeby & Bellenot in 1889.
