- Type 3 is not an official caliber designation. As this is unknown, type <x> is used to distinguish between the different movement types of La Bisontine.
- The following types are known to date:
- Type 1: cylinder escapement, keywind, cocks of the fourth wheel and the third wheel are connected
- Type 2: cylinder escapement, crown winding with pusher, cocks of the fourth wheel and the third wheel are connected
- Type 3: Swiss lever escapement, crown winding with pusher/lever, cocks of the fourth wheel and the third wheel are connected
- Type 4: Cylinder escapement, crown winding with pusher, third wheel under the wheel train bridge
- Common to all types is the cover of the ratchet wheel and a special shape of the click. Types 1, 2 and 3 also have a common cock for the fourth and third wheel
